The Chaos at Manchester Piccadilly

Hi there,

A lot of you I know will of been there when the chaos happened at Manchester Piccadilly and I know a lot of you will of seen 'one man was detained'. Unfortunately that one man was me.

I was trying my hardest to help the young girl infront of me to keep her safe but with all the people pushing behind it was very easy and she was being crushed into the railings.

The BTP didn't take much notice until I started shouting at him trying to get his attention, after a few exchanged words and the railing collapsing, he felt it appropriate to drag me out and put me inside for the night with a Public Order Section 5; Swearing or Aggressive Behaviour towards a police officer, which I now have to try and justify at Manchester Mag Court on 24/3. With my job its the last thing I need getting a criminal record.

If anyone was there, and would be kind enough to write a witness statement about the disgrace of how the police handled it I would be very much appreciated.

Also any images and videos would help, I have gone through all the papers, there is some useful quotes but I want to get as much as I can before the date.

My email is tomo.irons@gmail.com

Thanks in advance,

Tom.

Well done mate pleased to hear it. I don't know if it's always been the case but coppers seem to be getting thicker and more inept

Council Scum - you may be right, he was a life saver, to come up for someone you've never met before, got a lot of respect for that man.

Well done 0 a Brexit and a not guilty - there is still a bit of common sense being applied in this world of ours (not "theirs").

Good news Tomorrow

What were the old bill thinking? You can walk across Westminster Bridge with an ISIS flag draped over your shoulders no problem but get caught in the middle of a dangerous crowd and use a bit of language to plod and you're charged TWATS!

Good news! Nice one mate. If you hadn't made the effort, and the others hadn't done likewise, the system would have swallowed you without the tiniest burp.

Justice for the West Ham 1!

Good on you.

I suspect the coppers rely on people being intimidated/not being able to find the time to pin minor stuff on people all the time.

Well done for standing up to them.
